With longer days and warmer weather, work really starts to get underway in the garden. And what better way to spend your time than with a little garden therapy!
Top of my list is seed sowing are veggies – I’ve got Kale ‘Curly Scarlet’ to sow under cover & Broad Bean ‘Crimson Flowered’ to get going straight into the ground. Not only are these productive plants they are colourful too – both can be weaved into flower borders and the Kale is a dwarf variety useful for pots.
Salads are also going in this week – both winter and summer lettuce mixes can be sown at this time of year, along with essential and so easy to grow rocket and spinach. When these grow like weeds why buy them in the supermarket?
